My Fantastic Singapore Exchange Experience

As I arrive back in Canada, I am reminded of the incredible study abroad experience I've had at Singapore Management University (SMU). I am grateful for this journey and the amazing memories I have made. SMU's prime location in downtown Singapore's business district allowed me to fully experience the vibrant city life. From exploring local attractions to trying out different cheap cuisines at various restaurants, everything was within walking distance. SMU's student life is also thriving, with an abundance of student-run clubs and campus events, making it impossible to feel bored (I attended 17 free events, with most providing food!).

Moreover, my exchange program was full of exciting adventures and opportunities to meet people from different cultures. Playing basketball weekly on a rooftop during the sunset with Singaporeans and fellow exchange students was one of the highlights of my trip. Another unforgettable experience was planning and booking a spontaneous weekend trip to Bali, or getting my scuba diving license in Cebu. I even took a last-minute four-hour bus ride that led us to a beautiful white sand beach where I got to experience one of the best sunsets I've ever seen. During my exchange, I traveled to Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. My experience in each country was fantastic and I highly recommend everyone to visit!

Overall, my exchange trip to SMU enriched my life and inspired me to continue exploring new cultures and places. It was truly an unforgettable experience that I will always cherish. If you're considering studying abroad, I highly encourage you to take the leap and apply to SMU. The university provides an exceptional student life and quality education, and Singapore offers easy access to neighbouring countries for more adventures. Don't hesitate to embark on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
