When I was a kid, my dad introduced me to the beauty of the outdoors. He wanted me to have a deep appreciation for the environment, so he took me fishing. There isn’t a worry in the world when you hook your first fish.

Our club holds at least one fishing event per month and we arrange outings to urban lakes which are stocked by the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC. We also plan occasional long-distance outings, which are geared towards more experienced anglers. Although volunteering can seem like a solely recreational pursuit, it’s really about following your passions in a way that leaves a meaningful impact on the world.
