When giving the answer to the first part of this question, show the interviewer that you are able to write in different styles e.g. if you have written research essays, blog posts, press releases etc. You want to show your versatility, that you understand you need to change your writing style depending on your audience and the purpose of the piece. For your writing sample, make sure you give the context. Explain what it is you wrote and why. Offer to leave it with them so they can take more time to read it later.
