Position Title

I attended one of the Management of Information Systems Association's annual events about three years ago when I was still a Computer Science student and it opened my eyes to a world that I had no idea existed.

I'd previously held misinformed notions of business as being a very non-technical and overly broad profession that I wouldn't find enticing. However, the event was enlightening because it gave me a chance to hear about the respective ambitions, career paths and accomplishments of business industry professionals.

In that instance, it was immensely humbling and empowering to be confronted with the fact that no matter how bright you are, there will always be things you don't know. But the prospect of lifelong learning is one that definitely excites me. This realization eventually led me to reconsider my major, become a Business student and get involved as a volunteer with the organization. Since then, I've made it my mission to inspire other students in the same way I was inspired by the event all those years ago.
