As a person of colour who works as a Career Peer Advisor and is a student at Simon Fraser University, I understand how challenging it can be to find and keep a job for marginalized individuals due to systemic barriers and discrimination. That's why I'm proud to have played an active role in developing a career resources guide specifically tailored to the needs of Black students on campus. These resources are designed to support Black students at all stages of their professional journey, from exploring career options to securing meaningful employment. I hope that these resources will help Black students navigate the job market with more confidence and provide opportunities to connect with employers who are committed to promoting equity and inclusion in the workforce.
