I joined MSESS when I first started at SFU. Since then, I've had the chance to travel to conferences around the world and represent SFU's Surrey Campus as a delegate. The most memorable one was the Conference on Diversity in Engineering, hosted in Montreal.

During the conference we learned about how we can diversify the engineering community and accommodate different people's needs and perspectives. Apart from these events, balancing my study life and my executive position in MSESS can be tough, but I've learned great time-management skills from the experience.
