Indigenous Student Centre
Indigenous Student Life Coordinator

Get to know the ISC Staff!

Welcome! My name is Jesse and I am Okanagan from Penticton, BC and I am happy to be a part of the ISC as one of the Indigenous Student Life Coordinators.

If you have questions about communications, our website content, or would like to collaborate or share information to the SFU Indigenous student community, you can connect with me via email.

I am currently working to finish my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from SFU and you have four years experience working with the Indigenous Student Centre. Learning about available resources can seem overwhelming sometimes, and I am always happy to help with the first step!”

Get to know Jesse a little bit more as he shares a bit about his self-care routine in his Staff Saturdays post.

“I enjoy reading, learning to cook (or trying to, lol), and taking care of my plants and my neighbour’s chiweenie, Cashew. What I really love, though, is running. I just finished my final semester and running really helped me balance my life so I could finish. I find that when I’m trying to convince myself that I don’t have time or that I am tired with stress is exactly when I need running most. Some of my favourite running routes are along the water and the trails through Stanley Park. I would love to hear your running or walking stories through social media or the ISC Wellness Program :) “
