If you have never helped to plan an event before, but you been involved in events on the day of, describe that event(s) and your role(s). 

Do you have any experience communicating professionally with stakeholders either by e-mail or in person?

Communicating with a stakeholder is a differnet style than communicating with a classmate/friend, or even with a faculty member. They want to see if you have previous experience adopting a more professional tone.

Could you tell me about a time when you had to develop partnerships and or new contacts?

Assessing your relationship management skills. They want to see if you are able to approach new people, or able to establish trust.

These activities all require different styles of communication to get the same information across.
