Position Title

What is your current position?

I am the first to be trained in Strongboard Balance. I am at Copeman Health (now Telus Health) showing them the evolution in rehab and performance.

How did your education in BPK influence your career?

It is a great program to learn more about the human body and mind.

Who in BPK had an impact on you and why?

Craig Asmundson had a great impact on me. He was a young middle aged healthy and fit person who was suddenly dealing with a health crisis (cancer). He was someone who I cared about who was afflicted by cancer. Fun fact, he taught Terry Fox.  He spoke out and talked about his journey and the support and resources were not available so he created his own fundraiser and support group. As if forming the BCAK wasn't enough, this man sees a need and he fills it. Creating a space for others to "kinect". I have kept in touch especially after running into him in 2007 in Italy of all places. We have always kept in touch. He is a man of integrity and true GRIT.

What is your favourite memory of your time at SFU as an undergraduate?

Working as a TA with Dr. Anthony.

What advice would you give to today’s BPK student?

Mentorship and volunteering is important!
