I joined the SFU Sanguosha Club (Sanguosha is a popular Chinese strategy game) immediately after I came to SFU. In March, after just one year in the club, I became the president of Sanguosha.

As a newly appointed president, I had to take on the planning process for a competition event and coordinate between all the different departments of our club, even though I had no experience in event-planning. I taught myself about event planning in my spare time, and thankfully, the event ended up a huge success. I learned a lot about dealing with different people and becoming a good leader, and since then I have managed to plan numerous events.
