"Pursuing my Psychology degree at SFU provided me with many great insights and experiences. I studied how culture significantly informs our cognition, which I later had the opportunity to appreciate firsthand while studying abroad at the University of Ghana. I learned that while sprinting with SFU Track & Field, my body releases endorphins to reduce my perceptions of pain and increase drive and focus during the race. I was even given the opportunity to apply my risk assessment skills by developing a reintegration program for a patient in a class project."
