Position Title

My Co-op at Maple Ridge Physiotherapy and Pain Clinic has been valuable. The hands-on experience as a rehabilitation assistant was an amazing way to learn about the field of physiotherapy and all its ins and outs, and it was rewarding to work with patients during their road to recovery. As a rehabilitation assistant I set patients up on various modalities used to treat pain and injuries and ensure patient comfort throughout their appointment. My time at the clinic has allowed me to gain an understanding of how intertwined the health care system is, and witness first-hand how Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, and RMTs, work with other medical professionals to identify, assess, and treat injuries. This role has inspired me to continue pursuing my future in this field!
