I started a year ago at Bangladesh Students’ Alliance as the PR Director and I became the president later on.
Being the president, I have to manage my team, make sure everything is running smoothly and support my team members. My most memorable experience is our Pôhela Bôishakh (Bangladesh New Year) event last year. As the PR Director back then, I had to get the whole Bangladesh community involved and hold the rehearsal for the dance and music groups every week.
I also had to ensure we had a food supply and ordered our specific cultural foods from Surrey. In the end, we made it work with help from the entire Bangladesh community. We had a lot of fun that day, and enjoyed really good music, dance performances and a small carnival. All the help from the Bangladesh community made our club feel very special.
