Project Overview
Dew Point is a combination of weather forecasting and a database of hiking regions that allows hikers to make informed decisions about their next hiking destination.
It encourages people to explore different hiking trails by aiding them in the planning process and tracking their progress during the hike to inform them about areas that haven’t been explored.
I familiarized myself enough with Material Design to be able to deconstruct and then re-purpose components for our use, whilst keeping within the Materials' guidelines. I was also largely responsible for illustration, copy-writing, and deck design.
Reflection
Problem: Our team had different ideas for how to handle navigation. Two wanted a hamburger menu and two wanted a secondary navigation bar at the bottom.
Solution: I suggested to A/B test the two possible solutions and let our users decide. It was unanimous and the secondary navigation bar (my original choice) was selected.
