Exciting Projects

Brandyn is currently working at OSI Maritime Systems Ltd which is “a leading provider of integrated navigation and tactical solutions designed for naval and maritime security operations.”  During his co-op term, Brandyn has enjoyed working on 3D projects in the Marketing and Communications Department. He is currently working on modelling a warship bridge environment featuring OSI’s Integrated Navigation and Tactical System, generally referred to as a Warship Integrated Bridge System.

Brandyn’s Favourite Part

Brandyn says his favourite part of this job is “getting to experience 3D Design in a professional setting and the workflow behind creating 3D for a larger scope project. I also really appreciate the OSI workplace culture, which is fast-paced yet open to suggestions and new approaches to the work at hand.”

Employer Feedback

Mia Tokoro, Brandyn’s supervisor, says that OSI has started incorporating 3D models into their marketing projects only very recently but that Brandyn’s “3D experience and proactive problem-solving skills have been invaluable for achieving our project goals as well as enhancing the team’s 3D skills.”

Fun Fact

“Presently, 23 navies totalling more than 600 warships and submarines operate using OSI systems!”
