“The Vision Lab studies different factors affecting the efficiency of visual processing, with visual attention being our main focus. We predominantly utilize the flicker task to assess change detection, with the aim to discover more about human visual attention systems. I am working closely with Dr. Richard Wright to plan, prepare, and perform experiments concerning visual attention and change detection. His course (PSYC 330) got me interested in the subject matter, which motivated me to get involved in the research conducted in his lab. Joining a lab is a great way to test the waters in academia and see if it is something you would like to pursue!”⁣

Ryan deKergommeaux is an MA student in the Cognitive Psychology program and a lab member of Richard Wright’s Vision Lab.
