People often ask me why I chose Amsterdam as my destination for Study Abroad. To be quite honest, my first choice was Copenhagen but another student snatched that spot before me. I have spent just over a month here in Amsterdam and I think it's safe to say that this is the biggest blessing in disguise. I fall in love more with this city everyday. Amsterdam is breathtaking and it's proximity to other cities in Europe allows me to travel while working towards my degree. University of Amsterdam has a beautiful campus that makes studying quite enjoyable. The environment at the university is also very diverse, offering an opportunity to meet people from all over the world.

This is my first time living alone and I cannot emphasize enough how much going abroad for a semester helps with personal growth. I've grown to like all the responsibilities that come with living alone, even the most mundane activities such as cleaning and grabbing groceries. I have met some lovely people here in the past month and although I've faced some challenges since I got here, being around people has helped me cope with those problems and look at them with a positive perspective.
