For some of us, pursuing our dreams might be completely out of our comfort zone. We’re happy to work in jobs we feel are our “best option” at the time. The problem with this is that we become complacent and our motivation and passion slowly start to dwindle.
I am sure you have heard of the concept of taking a holistic approach to health. I first learned about this concept when I took an elective course in Kinesiology at SFU during my undergraduate degree. A holistic approach to health examines the physical, social, emotional and mental needs of a person to determine one’s overall wellness.
How do you make important decisions? I’ve been reminded in my visits with students of the difficulty that can be a part of making big decisions. I’ve also been reminded that when working with people struggling with a choice, it can be challenging to reign in the impulse to push for one direction or the other.
