As a soon-to-be Career Development Practitioner, I’ll have to encourage people to reach their goals by focusing on their strengths.

I was able to practice this during my time with Special Olympics BC, where I took program participants under my wing and taught them skills like teamwork, leadership, and participation.

Ultimately, I’ve realized that mentorship isn’t about age or perceived authority, it’s about sharing your skills and experience with someone who wants to grow from them.
