MSE students are expanding the alternative fuel industry. Armaghan Mogouei is completing a four month co-op job at Ballard Power Systems as a support product development engineer. Ballard fuel cells are divided into different product lines.
MECHATRONICS CO-OP PROFILES
Mogouei is working with a team that is focused on the buses and is one of the most successful products of Ballard Power Systems. These buses have been used worldwide in places such as US, Canada, Western Europe, Iceland, Australia and China. Due to the nature of hydrogen fuel cells, Armaghan is working with a team who are involved in designing and developing electrical combined with partial mechanical engineering tasks.
Armaghan has a passion for hydrogen fuel cells because she believes traditional fuel sources are becoming scarce. This intelligent woman loves working with Ballard because it allows her to be part of the development of a new state of the art technology. In addition, she is a strong advocate for the environment which is deeply rooted with her hydrogen fuel cell work.
Prior to working at Ballard, Armaghan Mogouei had the position of support product engineering at Creation Technologies. Mogouei enjoyed the atmosphere and friendships that arose from working at Creation Technologies. She was treated like a professional engineer and oversaw various projects. However Armaghan states working with fuel cells is her first love and wishes to be part of the Ballard team after graduation.
Mogouei shares with all women that are thinking of Mechatronic Systems Engineering as an ideal fit, because it allows you to explore various engineering disciplines and industry application. Armaghan Mogouei is following her dreams through her work with Ballard Power Systems.
