As the co-president of SFU Economics Student Society, my role involves getting roles filled and getting jobs done, as well as coming up with ideas to engage Economics students.
I would probably say my most memorable experience was the Pub Night we held. Because we just had the co-president elections, we didn’t start organizing the Pub Night until a week before. We scrambled to make it happen. It required a lot of work from everyone, and it was an intense period of time. It took a lot of communication for me to make sure everybody knew what they were doing. A bunch of Economics students came and we had drinks and food. It’s nice to me that everyone comes out. I got to meet all of the people who are engaged in the faculty – all the people who want to make a difference and who are willing to volunteer.
