I give back to the SFU community through participating in the Welcome Leader and BASS mentorship programs. These programs help first years and transfer students feel welcomed here at SFU. It makes a huge difference in their level of confidence and familiarity on the first day of the semester.

It feels good to help and know that I was part of their university transition; when I see past students from my Welcome Day group or my mentees around campus, I'm happy to see them be engaged and involved with the university and their peers.
