As a Welcome Leader, I met new students from the Faculty of Education and was able to introduce them to the opportunities and resources that our faculty offers. I had the change to encourage them to get involved in university life from the very beginning, which is something I wish I did in my first year.

As a future educator, this has been a really valuable leadership opportunity that I can draw on later. I’ve learned how to speak assertively to people I don’t know and lead a dynamic conversation.
