Our club provides personal and professional development opportunities for the university’s upcoming female leaders. I became a Young Women in Business general member as a first year student, but decided to take on more responsibility within the club as the years progressed.
Being able to see my fellow club members develop new skills and witness the unfolding of our planned events is what brings me inspiration. I definitely attribute a lot of my growth to my involvement in YWiB. My role requires me to interact with a wide range of industry professionals, which has considerably enhanced my professional skills. My main challenge is balancing academics with my volunteering. Having a really good calendar, as well as a reliable support network of mentors who I can turn to whenever I encounter an unexpected circumstance, has seen me through.
