I decided to get involved with Enactus because I thought it would be a great way to give back. I'd been really involved with volunteer opportunities and extra curricular activities when I was in high school, so I wanted to make sure that I maintained the same degree of engagement during my time as a university student.
Volunteering with the organization has provided me with the means to grow and to make lots of priceless networking connections. Being part of a team of such encouraging and dedicated individuals has been of great motivation to me. My fellow volunteers and I have become a tight-knit family. I wouldn't trade that sense of community for the world.
I've grown so much in the past year, it's insane. For instance, my networking skills have gotten to the point where I'm now very comfortable approaching strangers and connecting with them which I'm sure will be of great use to me throughout the rest of my academic journey and in my eventual career.
