Participating in the SFU Co-op program has been one of the best decisions I have made in my undergraduate career. I am currently completing my BSC in Health Sciences and am interested in working in the medical field. Therefore when I found this opportunity to work as an MOA, it was something I did not want to pass up on. I applied to work at CRC Health Centre, a clinic that is working towards providing more comprehensive care to patients in our city.

Medical Office Assistants are in charge of the front desk, scheduling appointments, answering phones, directing patients, updating records, and assisting physicians. It is also their responsibility to make patients feel welcome and cared for. I have realized that the key to providing the best service comes from time management, coordination, and excellent communication skills between staff and patients.

With the bitter-sweet ending, as my time working for CRC has ended, I've developed long-term connections with frequent patients, met new individuals daily, and given compassionate treatment to members of your community, making this experience extremely meaningful. I am grateful to have been a part of this incredible team and helped individuals attain their optimal health.
